Lisa Novack's PledgePage
On January 18, 2004, I'll be participating in my first Team in Training event. I'll be running 26.2 miles in the Bermuda International Marathon in Hamilton, Bermuda.
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Team in Training program is the world's largest endurance sports training program. In exchange for training & support, I'll be raising funds that go toward research, advocacy, patient services & public awareness. Of the money I raise, more than 76% goes to the cause. The rest goes toward my coaching, training and travel. Did you know... * An estimated 106,700 people in the US will be diagnosed with leukemia, lymphoma or myeloma in 2003? * Every nine minutes, another child or adult is expected to die from leukemia, lymphoma or myeloma? * Leukemia and lymphoma are the leading fatal cancers in young men under age 39? * Approximately 445,679 members of the U.S. population are living with lymphoma: 131,279 with Hodgkin lymphoma and 314,400 with non-Hodgkin lymphoma? I've set a personal goal to raise $3,800 and you can help. With your tax deductible donation, you can help fight a battle we are getting closer to winning every day. The "Team" will win. |
